How this list is ranked

Tiers reflect observed Cash and progression value from September/October 2026 public gameplay — not an official FISH X SPEEDI balance sheet. We weigh luck multipliers, hire cost, mutation synergy, and how long a unit stays relevant after Rebirth dock expansions. Always cross-check live shop prices on your account; economy numbers drift after big patches listed on Updates.

S = best long-term Dock cores or huge power spikes. A = strong holds for mid and late. B = solid bridges. C = early fillers you outgrow. Full name/cost notes live on the Players roster.

S tier

FishermanWhy they sit here
Sea CommanderEndgame ceiling. Observed hire around ~750M Cash — absurd, but the Dock carry once you can afford it.
Cloud9 (Legendary)Observed ~30M. Huge late mid-game spike; keep equipped after you clear cheaper Legendaries.
Clown Timmy (Legendary)Observed ~15M. Excellent Legendary bridge before Cloud9 / Sea Commander money.
Coral ZoeyObserved ~25M with half mutation Gold value — unique economy angle for mutation-focused players.

If you are choosing between Coral Zoey and Clown Timmy with limited Cash, Zoey wins when you lean mutations; Timmy wins as a raw Legendary step. Both beat holding piles of Commons after your second Rebirth.

A tier

FishermanNotes
Dr. BobObserved ~3M. Clean mid-late hire when Legendaries are still out of reach.
Pirate PeteObserved ~1.5M. Reliable mid-game Dock upgrade over early luck units.
Alaskan Fisher2.5x luck observed — punches above price in luck-sensitive stretches.
Angler Mia2x luck, observed ~45k. Best early “real” upgrade after Homeless / Rookie fillers.

Alaskan and Mia are luck engines; Pete and Dr. Bob are Cash-progress ladders. Mix one luck carry with your highest raw earner when Dock slots are tight. Use Equip Best after every shop buy — see How to Roll.

B tier

FishermanNotes
Koi FisherRespectable mid filler; replace when Pete / Dr. Bob land.
Uncle BobServiceable bridge unit; do not sink Rebirth banks into duplicates.
LobsterFine temporary Dock piece while saving for A-tier.
Rookie SamEarly upgrade over Homeless Fisher; expect to bench quickly.

B-tier units exist to keep Stands fed while you bank for Rebirth or A/S hires. Do not emotional-attach — swap the moment Cash/minute stalls. Stand management tips: Fish Income.

C tier

FishermanNotes
Homeless Fisher (Common)Starter. Necessary for minute one, C for long-term value. Bench after Angler Mia or better.

Homeless Fisher teaches the loop: Dock → fish → Stand → Cash. That is it. Spending Spins hoping for Homeless dupes is a waste — roll toward Mia+ and save Cash for Rebirth thresholds in the Rebirth guide.

Early / mid / late cheat sheet

Early (pre–first Rebirth, under ~100k Cash): Homeless → Rookie Sam → Angler Mia. Burn code Spins from the Codes Hub. Gold into Catch Luck / Fishing Speed. Do not chase Legendaries yet.

Mid (post–first Rebirth through low millions): Alaskan Fisher, Pirate Pete, Dr. Bob, Koi / Uncle Bob / Lobster as temporary pads. Expand Dock after Rebirth rewards; fill new slots before shopping vanity.

Late (tens of millions toward hundreds of millions+): Clown Timmy, Coral Zoey, Cloud9, then Sea Commander when the display price is realistic for your income. Mutation luck + Zoey’s half mutation Gold perk matter more here.

Rebirth changes the list

Each Rebirth multiplies money, extends offline time, improves rolling luck, expands the Dock, and adds fish slots (first Rebirth observed at 100k Cash → 1.5x money plus those bonuses). A C-tier unit on an expanded Dock is still worse than an empty slot you quickly fill with A-tier. Plan Rebirth timing so you do not brick Cash one hire before the threshold — details in Rebirth and the first-hour plan in Getting Started.

Trading note

Server size caps at 6 players, so trading culture is light compared to huge economy games. Still, never trust huge overpays for Commons. Value talk belongs on Players; use this hub for your Dock priority, not speculative flips.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Homeless Fisher ever good?

Only as a tutorial starter. Rank C for long-term value — replace with Angler Mia or better as soon as you can.

Should I buy Coral Zoey or Cloud9 first?

Cloud9 is the stronger raw Legendary spike (~30M observed). Coral Zoey (~25M) shines if you invest in mutations thanks to half mutation Gold value.

Are these prices official?

No. Hire costs and multipliers are observed from September/October 2026 gameplay and can change after updates.

Does Rebirth reset my fishermen?

Plan around Dock expansion and income multipliers rather than deleting your roster. Read the Rebirth guide before you hit the button.

Where is the full roster table?

See the Players hub for the observed fishermen list, then return here for S–C priority.
