Getting Started

What you are playing

Roll a Fisherman is a Roblox simulation/tycoon by FISH X SPEEDI, launched August 5, 2026 (place 90920025162454). Servers cap at 6 players. Your job is simple to say and easy to play badly: roll fishermen → place them on the Dock → collect fish → place fish on the Stand → collect Cash → upgrade → Rebirth. Offline earnings are confirmed, so the board you leave when you quit matters.

This guide is the first-session plan. Pair it with the Codes Hub, then specialize with How to Roll, Fish Income, and Rebirth.

Minute zero: finish the tutorial

Do not skip prompts. The Shop code box unlocks after the tutorial. Rushing past placement instructions is how new players stand around with Spins they cannot spend and fish they never move to the Stand.

Goals before you freestyle:

  1. Understand where the Dock is and how to assign a fisherman.
  2. Collect at least one fish from an active fisher.
  3. Place that fish on the Stand and collect Cash.
  4. Open Shop on the left side of the HUD once the UI fully unlocks.

If anything feels stuck, rejoin once — soft UI locks happen on busy joins.

Claim every code immediately

Open Shop → scroll to the bottom → Enter a code → Redeem. Working codes observed from the official description:

CodeReward
RELEASE5,000 Cash
UPDATE13 Spins
UPDATE22 Spins
GOLD300 Gold
UPGRADES500 Gold
FISHING2 Spins
SEAL3 Spins

Official spelling is SEAL, not SEALS. Full redeem notes and spend advice live on Codes. Spins unused in your first ten minutes are wasted tempo.

First session loop (do this on repeat)

  1. Roll / hire with Spins and early Cash.
  2. Put the strongest unit on the Dock (use Equip Best when unsure).
  3. Collect fish as they appear.
  4. Move better fish onto the Stand; replace weak earners without guilt.
  5. Collect Cash on a short timer — do not AFK with a full Stand inbox if you are active.
  6. Spend Gold on Fishing Speed and Catch Luck before luxury options.
  7. Glance at Cash versus the 100k first Rebirth threshold; bank on purpose.

That loop is the whole game. Fancy fishermen only multiply a clean loop; they do not replace it. When Cash/minute feels wrong, read Fish Income before blaming RNG.

Early fishermen priorities

You will start with Homeless Fisher (Common). Treat them as a tutorial unit — C tier for long-term value on the Tier List. Aim toward Rookie Sam, then Angler Mia (observed 2x luck, ~45k). Alaskan Fisher (observed 2.5x luck) is a strong follow-up when Cash allows.

Do not empty your Rebirth bank to impulse-buy a mid name you saw in another server. Roster costs and notes: Players. Rolling discipline: How to Roll.

Cash vs Gold vs Spins

  • Spins — roll fuel. Spend on cooldown of your attention; empty Spins earn nothing.
  • Gold — upgrade currency for Fishing Speed, Catch Luck, Mutation Luck, Roll Luck, and mutations. Code Gold (GOLD + UPGRADES) should push Speed/Luck early.
  • Cash — hires and Rebirth. First Rebirth is observed at 100k Cash for 1.5x money, longer offline time, rolling luck, Dock expansion, and +1 fish slot. That package beats most shiny mid-tier hires. Details: Rebirth.

First hour checklist

  • Tutorial complete, all seven codes redeemed
  • Dock filled with best available fishermen (Mia+ if lucky)
  • Stand not clogged with starter trash fish
  • At least one Fishing Speed or Catch Luck Gold purchase
  • Mental note of Cash toward 100k (or already rebirthed if you crushed it)
  • Bookmark this wiki’s Guides Hub and Updates

Offline before you quit

Because offline earnings work, end sessions cleanly: Equip Best, fill Dock slots, put your highest-value fish on the Stand, collect loose Cash so nothing caps awkwardly, then leave. A messy board wastes the offline timer you just unlocked or extended through Rebirth.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Typing SEALS instead of SEAL
  • Hoarding Spins “for later”
  • Buying every hire while sitting at 80k Cash instead of pushing 100k Rebirth
  • Leaving Homeless Fisher equipped after better rolls exist
  • Ignoring Stand composition while obsessing over one Legendary screenshot
  • Running scripts on a main account without reading the Scripts risk warning

After one clean session, open How to Roll if the Dock is full of Commons, Fish Income if Cash is slow, and Rebirth before your first prestige. Rank targets with the Tier List. Track new code waves on Updates and the official Discord.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the core loop?

Roll or hire fishermen, place them on the Dock, collect fish, place fish on the Stand, collect Cash, upgrade, then Rebirth when ready.

When should I Rebirth the first time?

Bank toward the observed 100k Cash requirement unless a hire clearly upgrades your worst Dock slot more than delaying 1.5x money and Dock expansion.

Where do I redeem codes?

Finish the tutorial, open Shop on the left, scroll to the bottom, enter the code, and tap Redeem.

Should I buy Angler Mia before Rebirth?

If Mia (or better) upgrades a Homeless/Rookie slot and you can still hit 100k soon, yes. Do not bankrupt the Rebirth bank for a lateral upgrade.

Does the game pay while I am offline?

Yes — offline earnings are confirmed. Set Dock and Stand cleanly before quitting.

Is this guide using official prices?

Hire costs, luck multipliers, and Rebirth numbers are observed from September/October 2026 gameplay unless noted as official codes/text.
